Bowen Foundation’s Cruise for a Cure for Autism a Huge Success!
The Bowen Foundation for Autism held its Second Annual Cruise for a Cure for Autism on Thursday, November 6 aboard the Duchess of Pintail departing Annapolis City Dock.  In total, more than 150 individuals and local businesses showed their support for this event which raised over $35,000 to help fight autism here in Maryland.  The evening’s fundraising cruise featured a silent auction, music and refreshments as well as discussions about autism and the resources the Bowen Foundation is providing to the community.

The Bowen Foundation for Autism Donates $10,000 to Autism Speaks During Bowie Baysox Game

Before the first pitch of the Bowie Baysox game on Friday, August 8, the Bowen Foundation for Autism presented a check toAutism Speaks for $10,000 to go toward supporting local Maryland families caring for children with autism.  This donation was recognized during the second annual Autism Awareness Night at Prince George's Stadium where the Baysox planned a host of activities to recognize the fight against autism and provide children with special offerings, including a fireworks extravaganza and an opportunity for kids 12 and under to run the bases.  During this event, Bowen Foundation President Bryan Levy presented this check to Autism Speaks and even threw out the first pitch of the game.


Educational Seminar Presented with Autism Speaks Delivers Cutting-Edge Information

On July 17 at Eastport Library in Annapolis, more than 40 local families joined together to hear Dr. Valerie Hu, professor of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at George Washington University Medical Center, present "Identifying Genetic Risk Factors in Autism: A Progress Report.” 

During this informative event, attendees learned what is being done in the field of autism research and how they can join Autism Speaks and the Bowen Foundation in the fight against autism.

The Bowen Foundation for Autism’s 5K Run/Walk was an Incredible Success!

b-bSpecial thanks to everyone who participated at Quiet Waters Park on March 29 for the Bowen Foundation for Autism’s Inaugural 5K Walk/Run. In total, more than 300 individuals participated in this race, which helped us raise more than $15,000 to fight autism right here in Maryland!
